Serena Coles International Vegan Festivals Committee
March 4 2007
Preamble
The Serena Coles International Vegan Festivals Committee (SCIC) has been set up to consider proposals and make decisions on the holding of International Vegan Festivals.
The Committee has been named in honour one of our most prominent early pioneers of the Vegan Movement, Serena Coles.
In the past, it has not always been possible for a decision on the venue for the next but one International Vegan Festival to be made at the General Meeting, held at the current festival.
We recognise that attendees of the General Meeting at an International Vegan Festival may not always constitute a fair representation of the Vegan Societies participating in the Vegan Movement.
A Committee of experienced eminent Vegan leaders is more likely to make a fair, balanced and informed decision.
You can email the Chair of the SCIC, Kirsten Jungsberg, for more details.
The SCIC is an independent Vegan group. Its decisions are made independent of any Vegan group or the Vegan World Network.
