The 13th International Vegan Festival is expected to be held in 2011.
Kas Ward, the organiser of the "Vegan Festival" (Adelaide), together with her husband Shane, have submitted a Bid to Kirsten Jungsberg, Chair of the Serena Coles International Vegan Festivals Committee (SCIC), to hold the 13th International Vegan Festival in Adelaide SA Australia, in 2011.
Kas Ward states, "Our initial thoughts of the 13th International Vegan Festival are to make it a 10-day festival, filled with interactive workshops, creative activities, cooking classes, dance classes, yoga and tai-chi exercises in the morning and evening. There will be activities for children to help them further develop their skills. We will make sure there is time for socialising and relaxation, too. Guest speakers and performers will make the event more entertaining.
"The festival would take a form of a camp and holiday vegan resort with the choice of coming just for the weekend or staying for the entire festival. The following is the initial plan:
"We are currently looking for potential facilities/venues. The Official Announcement of the Bid for the 13th International Vegan Festival in Australia, is scheduled to take place at this year's (2008) Vegan Festival in Adelaide".
Kas is the organiser of the Vegan Festival in Adelaide. Kas was born in Poland and lived in Egypt and the UK before she arrived in Australia in November 2006. She is happily married to Shane whom she met in Egypt in May 2005. Kas has extraordinary organisational skills that she wishes to use to make the 13th International Vegan Festival in Australia an event to remember.
Shane and Kas Ward are supporting vegan organisations and businesses and wish to promote vegan products and services at the festival. They want the festival to be a family-orientated festival where people can enjoy their time, learn new things and re-vitalise.
