Karen Davis, president of United Poultry Concerns, will talk about the beautiful rescued chickens, turkeys and ducks at UPC's sanctuary in Virginia, and a nutrition specialist will discuss the pleasure and benefits of preparing and eating raw foods.
$12.00 for tickets in advance
$15.00 for tickets at the door.

World Vegan Day is an international focal point for celebrating veganism. Donald Watson formed the word vegan and founded The Vegan Society in November 1944. People felt that was worth commemorating, so it has been, every year since the 50th Anniversary in 1994.

The Convent in Abbotsford will once again play host to this year's World Vegan Day event in Melbourne on Sunday 1 November. The festivities on the day will feature an array of live music, vegan food and campaign stalls, cooking demonstrations and raffles, as well as speed-dating sessions and talks from notable speakers.
