The world has been celebrating World Vegan Day since 1994. Every year the celebrations get bigger and more numerous as many more people discover how enjoyable it is to lead a lifestyle that benefits people, animals and the environment.

Celebrate World Vegan Day with a picnic in the park on Sunday 19 October 2008
Meet at midday, Sunday 19 October 2008 at Lachlan Reserve in Centennial Park, Sydney.
Celebrate World Vegan Day at this combined Vegan Society, Sydney Raw Food and Vegan Meetup and Gaia's Table Raw Vegan Group event. Please bring your own picnicking gear and a vegan dish to share. If you wish to "go raw", bring a raw vegan dish (please see the Raw Food Potluck Guidelines at
